KKS SHREDDER

This BOA shredder is designed to reduce large pieces of cardboard and long, thick-walled paper or cardboard tubes and cores.

The KKS Shredder is the cost-effective solution for shredding cardboard sheets and paper and cores. Transport and handling costs of this voluminous material are significantly minimized. After shredding, the machine can be handled more easily - being for example, baled material or processed for re-use.

The KKS shredder is very suitable for the paper and board industry, reducing faulty or surplus material for further process and recycling. It is mainly characterize by its durable features, easy control and cost efficiency.

HOW DOES IS WORK?

The shredder has three independently driven rotating shafts which run in opposite direction at different speeds. The shafts are controlled independently by means of frequency controls, which allow optimum shredding of different types of materials. The material will be placed on the feeding conveyor, then transported to the shredder. The heavy duty rotors are manufactured in cast iron and can be easily changed.

These rotors are equipped with small needles which are made of hardened steel, to optimize the shear effect. Due to the relatively low operating speed (max. 75 rpm) the machine operates more quietly and also a low risk of fire.

SPECIAL INPUT SECTION FOT CORES AND TUBES

The KKS Shredder has a separate insertion opening to put in cores. This section is designed to process cores and tubes easily. At that part of the machine, special knives are fixed to the drum. Its sophisticated design makes  the KKS shredder highly suitable for shredding long and thick-walled tubes, with layers of residual paper up to 25 mm.

BENEFITS

• Easy access for cleaning and maintenance purposes.

• Frequency-controlled shafts (independently driven).

• Low noise level.

• Dust emission is kept to a minimum.

• Low energy consumption.

• Low wear and tear.

Its considerable low maintenance and operating costs summarize the benefits of this low speed shredder!

The vertical prepress flaps in the filling openingf the pressclose simultaneously, resulting in a closed press channel.Because of this, optimal-weight homogeneous bales areproduced without cutting being necessary.

These flaps hve been built in such a way that any impactingforces are efectively absorbed. The front flap is smalle in view of the distribution of forces, and is equipped with a toothing, so that material between the flaps can be cut. The rear flap is equippedwith a fallback mechanism and  an anti-blockage switch, which minimizes interventions.

Because of this, materials that are difficulto press can beprocessed as well. The press ram is equipped with a toothing for processing highly expansive materials. Consequently, the press is extremely suitable for processing paper, cardboard, varied material, various plastics and other recyclables.

If constructed with a “Refuse” ram the baler is also capableof pressing domestic waste, wood, straw, hay and textiles. Moreover, several control possibilities provide optimal pressing results with heavy, well shaped and stackable bales.
